So What Goes With Your Car, Truck, or RV Getting Detailed? Great question! Below are some of the basic steps that go into a full mobile detailing of your vehicle from your vehicle getting pressure washed to your seats getting vacuumed to pristine condition!
Exterior Detailing
|
Claying: (Not available at this time) A Clay bar is used to remove any fine contaminants that are still embedded in your car, truck, or RV’s paint after a thorough pressure wash, shampoo, and drying have been completed. We will go over the exterior paint of your vehicle using as much clay as needed, plus a special lubricant to allow easier gliding of the bar, with extra caution to not cause any scratching using the clay.
Polishing: (Not available at this time) The polishing step is what makes a detailed vehicle a detailed vehicle. During this step, imperfections in the clear coat of paint such as scratches, swirls, water spots, and oxidation are removed. When we remove these imperfections, the true look and style of your vehicle will shine bright! A buffer and unique polish is selected to tackle whatever your vehicle specifically requires. The difference between your vehicle and the other dull vehicles in the Athens area is that yours will be polished to show room quality and will turn everyone's heads Sealant: (Not available at this time) A sealant is used to protect your car’s paint from the elements after the detailing for 3 to 6 months. Sealants bond to the paint which forms a protective barrier from contaminants embedding into the vehicle’s paint. This makes maintaining your vehicle a lot easier. As a bonus, it enhances your vehicle's paint by giving it more gloss and depth. Waxing: (Not available at this time) Waxing offers great durability for the pain of your vehicle than just a sealant but will typically only last for about 6 to 8 weeks. It feels excellent to the touch since it makes your car smooth, and adds another thin layer of vibrant shine! Car waxing or waxes typically bead up water and don’t allow water to pool on your vehicle, so if you start to notice water pooling on your vehicle and not coming off, that’s a good indicator that your vehicle needs a waxing. Wheel and Tire Care: Wheel care is essential when it comes to the appearance and overall value of your car, truck, or RV. NOBODY wants to see tires covered in brake dust or grime. The inner wheel section is relatively easy to clean: simple wash with shampoo, then clay bar, and protective sealant and wax is applied last for a sparkling finish! Tires also generally needs some water and shampoo, but may need a generous amount of degreaser to remove heavy duty contaminants. Tires are then finished with a thin layer of tire dressing that restores faded black tires to a deep dark show-room-like rubber. Exterior Trim Care: The exterior trim of your vehicle is the plastic or rubber accessories, such as your rear bumper. This is one of the more overlooked sections of your vehicle’s routine detailing. A thorough power wash and shampoo with a degreaser will remove any old waxes or shampooing previously done. Our detailing team will then apply a good dressing to darken the trim to show-room-like appearance, which will add a fantastic contrast to the paint of the vehicle! Our friends at Mobile Car Detailing Columbus GA are fantastic when it comes to taking care of exterior trim! Window Cleaning: Cleaning the interior and exterior is vital since being able to see clearly in all elements is important to everyday driving. Your windows can have skin oils from people touching your windows, bird droppings, product build-up from caring for trim pieces, smoke residue and most commonly moisture from just breathing in your vehicle. Most of this is removed in the general exterior detailing process, but further cleaning is claying is still needed. A general glass cleaner, that is ammonium free for tinted windows, is lightly applied to remove any remaining gunk. Then a clay bar with clay lubricant is applied for any last remaining particulates. Lastly another round of glass cleaner and optional wax is applied to added protection. |
Interior Detailing
Why is interior car detailing important? People obviously spend the most time inside the vehicle. Passengers especially take notice of the cleanliness and upkeep of the interior of your vehicle. You and your passengers want to enjoy getting into your vehicle with appearance, comfort, and most importantly smell. Since we are one of the best mobile detailer Athens has to offer, we take extra care towards the interior of your vehicle to provide the mobile car detailing Athens GA residents deserve and can afford. Carpet Cleaning: The carpets of your vehicle get the brute force of our everyday commute and activities, with tons of dirt build up and other contaminants. After carefully removing the mats of the vehicle, we do a thorough vacuuming the remove most of the dirt particles from the carpet. Once the carpet is vacuumed, a gentle fabric cleaner is applied to remove stubborn stains and later scrubbed away after settling for about a minute. Seat cleaning: Seat condition is one of the first things that passengers notice. So seat maintenance and cleanliness if a must! For leather seat care, a general leather cleaner is used to separate and uplift any contaminants in the leather, then a leather conditioner is applied to soften leather and keep it flexible so as to reduce drying out Interior Trim: Interior trim needs care from time to time such as the dashboard, side panels of the doors, and steering wheel. A General cleaner and protectant is all that is needed to take care of the interior trim. Check us out on our other business listings! |
